Cold air intake...

Hey, my cold air intake for my 91 civic hb came in yesterday. Its the setup to run down under the headlight. Right now I only have it running where the stock air filter housing used to sit. The reason is that piece to the stock air filter setup that is under the headlight already. All I can see are two brackets that are bolted down holding it on. The problem is, getting to them. I know I need to take something off to get to them, but what? Is it the headlight? The front bumper cover? Or am I missing something here?

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!!

Re: Cold air intake...

No you don't have to take you bumper off! I had that same problem! you need a long extension(sp), and take you wheel off! Thats what I did!

Re: Cold air intake...

Or just undo the bumper a little bit, and get some play, and undo it that ay, just dont let it smack you in the face because you thought it had another bolt holding it in.... like I did.... lol

Re: Cold air intake...

I just took out the blinker on the bumper, then used a flex extension to get that bolt behind the bumper, the one towards the back is easy to get. I didn't even take off the wheel.

Unhappy

Heh well thanks for all the help. Ill try the taking off the wheel thing first. I just want to let you guys know what I've done so far though (cuz it makes me feel stupid). I went through so much trying to figure out how to get to the stupid thing that I gave up doing it the right way. I grabbed a rope, put it through so that it would go around the plastic bracket pieces that are bolted to the body, then tied the rope to a tree and put it in reverse. Well, turns out those brackets are stronger than I thought. The rope broke...

Anyway, thanks for the help.
