98 accord maintenance light

When i start my car, the maintenance required light flashes about four times and then turns off. I don't know if this is a code or just a reminder, but after i started it the engine stalled. I have to rev it a little bit for it not to stall everytime i start it up.
Any suggestions?
thx

Re: 98 accord maintenance light

Maint. req'd is only a reminder, will not indicate a problem. You should look in your owners manual to figure out which maint. service your due for & take of that.

Re: 98 accord maintenance light

Get your car checked out by a Honda Mechanic, if it is a V6 which I am guessing due to you posting in this forum, I would ask about transmission problems. But as Jackasssi said the maintenance light is only a reminder. Good luck.
