67 Mustang high performance project
Me and my brother got a 67 mustang to fix up and I'm interested in any input on the project. We will be completing the bodywork soon and are in the process of researching the parts that we plan on putting in it. We want the car to be totally high performance in the way of the engine, exhaust, suspension, and brakes. We want it to ride tight and quick, and to have a lot of horsepower. We plan on rebuilding the 289 that is in it now. We still need the following for the engine and exhaust: aluminum heads, headers and flowmaster exhaust, a big cam that sounds good (really important), 4 barrel carb, new pistons rods lifters, etc. for the engine that can handle a lot of horsepower because we plan on putting a nitrous system on it as well. If anyone has suggestions for the parts mentioned above please reply. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

hey, your mustang soudns a lot like mine (in what your building it into too). but is the 289 a 289 block or a 302 block?
I just got my 289 rebuild kit, cam, lifters,a nd headers for x-mas this morning.. next up is the intake and carbs - then the heads. |

Re: 67 Mustang high performance project
Imagine the "wow" factor of a 32 valve 4.6. Not a job for the average shadetree mechanic and it would not be cheap but I sat a 67 on the Hot Rod Power tour with this setup that gave me a woodie.
