*sigh*

http://www.cybersteering.com/trimain...mclarenf1.html

The sad part is I actually saw people quote figures from this page on another forum (non-automotive forum, where the discussion of cars is pretty much limited to narrow minded insults slung back and forth in european coupes vs. american muscle)

Re: *sigh*

no, they arent making anymore F1 chassis.

VW owns Audi, Audi owns Lamborghini. so VW owns Lamoborghini indirectly through Audi. VW also owns Bentley, this is why the Bentley EXP Speed 8 shares the same chassis as its Audi R8 cousin. however, i dont know the exact dates of which Audi bought out those two companies.

Re: *sigh*

McLaren stopped the production after 100 cars, I think, not 300.

That is because first: Mclaren wanted the F1 to maintain a high value even after years, and by limiting to 100 cars, the F1 will remain exclusive.

Second: Mclaren made no real profit from the F1's, so increasing the production from 100 to something like 400 would have no benefits to them.

Re: Re: *sigh*

It was actually 99, but it's no big deal. The count of 100 includes a GT prototype, and other prototypes were not counted in the final production number.

"Today McLaren won't be able to sell you a F1 because they have stopped making it " you can buy a mclaren through the factory
