Stalled and now No Spark (start)

Hi.... I don't know Much about cars But I am learning...
anyways, my 1989 Dodge Spirit 2.5 litre Stalled the other day and pushed it home cause it wouldn't start. Checking it out I found NO SPARK. Engine seems to (crank) but not Start up and run... Checked again No Spark.....Battery is New and I just replaced Carefully using a Haynes Manual, ( Distributor Cap, Rotor, Hayes unit , Plug wires AND the Coil ) and STILL no spark. I bought an ohm meter but admit I really do Not know what to check for or How to check for it....
I sprayed Starter fluid in the Carb a couple of times (to see if it might be fuel related) and tried to start using a Battery Charger 50 amp starting unit just in case the Battery might not be strong enough due to the numerous attempts to get it running. the Motor turns when I try to start it... But obviously without a Spark it won't.... I DO have a situation where I can pull the key out of the ignition switch when the car WAS RUNNING and in Drive.... Could the Ignition Switch STOP spark from getting to the Distributor etc. YET allow the car to Turn? I am at a loss here and really Don't have money for a garage.... but starting to look like I am over my head here.... Unless it MAY be the ignition switch... Maybe?
help please.

hello

You might want to check your timing belt. Had one go on a reliant 2.2 and wasn't getting a spark also.

4-cylinder (2.2/2.5) Chrysler engines like to go through ignition modules...that must be your "weakest link" since you already replaced the rest of the ignition system...

have you actually checkes for spark or are you guessing?

easiest way to check is to pull a plug wire and hold it near a ground (wear gloves!) and see if it sparks when a friend turns the key...
