SR20DET Harness for 91 240SX Problem

We are trying to install a sr20det into my friend's car and the guy that sold him the engine gave a cut harness. Someone told me using the KA/SR harness (combine) is impossible. So is it possible to drop the engine in and then install the harness? It will take a while to get a new complete harness. And the car needs to be finished soon. Thanks.

Is it possible to wire the harness in after the engine has been dropped?

you should be able to wire it even after dropping the engine but it would be much easier to do it first.

plus why is it going to take a while to get a harness? is it a money thing or can you not locate one?

if you cant find one check this link:http://shop.store.yahoo.com/phase2mo...sr20deten.html

Re: SR20DET Harness for 91 240SX Problem

That guy who sent the engine had promised a full harness. So we are waiting for him to send one. He had also forgotten the Crank Angle Sensor, but he sent that. Now he is being flaky on the harness. Thats why I dont know when it will come.

if i were you, i would check our recheck your engine while waiting for harness. sometimes people forget what they have done and assume everything's still good to go. as for harness, i would always use one straight from where it came from and not modified in any way

Re: SR20DET Harness for 91 240SX Problem

Well this is for my friend's 240sx. I would of never bought from some guy like he did but oh well. My car is currently wrecked but I want to get a 240sx s14b. Im more into drag so I was thinking KA turbo.

Thanks for the link, incase that guy screws us over I guess we will have to order it.
