Question Front Brakes on my Z06

I am a grearhead that started with 70 muscle cars. I have owned everything from a 70 Cuda, Mustangs, Corvettes, and many others. I am attempting to slow down on maintenance and enjoy driving. I have purchased the car of my dreams, a 2002 Electron Blue Corvette Z06. OH MY GOD, IT IS FAST.

I now have 9000 miles on it and the squeaky brakes have continued to squeak since 6000 miles. There is still a great amount of material left on the pads – should I replace them – and if so what is the manufacturer and P/N I should use?

Re: Front Brakes on my Z06

Do you have the convertible or coupe?
I would only use GM pads, but would check with your dealer about the new design ZO6 pads pn 88952008

Brakes are naturally going to squeal a bit since they are made of of metallic particles but excessive spuealing could be another problem, have it checked out.
