Question Talon Performance Chips

I've seen too many ads regarding performance chips (add 20+ HP), and im becoming more attracted to them....

- are they safe for the engine ?
- Do they make the vehicle consume more fuel ?
- Does it shorten the engine's life span ?

Im currently running a 96 ESI, 90 miles, boosted by : cold air intake, complete exhaust/muffler system

Re: Talon Performance Chips

All it does is mess with timing and mixture, if you want to modify that get a safc. But to answer your other questions.
Not safe for engine if your boosting over stock
Fuel consuption would be triveal.
And yes shorten egine life.
Plus all it probably is a 5 cent resistor you can get at radio shack.
