well i'm a guy but i'll give you my side. I'm always the driver on dates. I've driven my girlfriends car before, but only if something was wrong with it and she needed me to take a look at it. asides from that I would not think of racing her car, the risk of racing someone elses car and getting pulled over, much less screwing up because i wouldn't be familiar with the car is to much of a risk for me. so thats my two cents, lol hope it helps being for a guy. lates

Briefly, obd1 4dr gsr with b20/vtec. I do let my boyfriend drive my car. I work in the mall so a lot of times I have him take the car because there are so many haters in town. I race the car myself, but I also let him race the car, I mean, realistically, my driving, racing, and tuning skills were mostly learnt through him. If I trust him enough to drop my motor in, I trust him enough to drive. Also, a big plus, he speeds when he races, but as for daily driving, he drives safely and at a normal speed limit. I was wondering if any other guys drive like that? I think it's a huge plus considering that you don't drive around like a maniac to tell yourself and others that your car is "fast." Also, when we go on dates, he usually drives, whether it be my car or his. A lot of times though, when we just hang out or go on road trips, I do the driving..i never thought it was a big deal at all. I know this post was long and blah, but I am sick on a saturday night, bare with me.

Hey there yelow88. I'm thinking of setting up a CRX si a lot like the one at the bottom of your post (the yellow one, bolt-ons etc.). I'm wondering, what do you think that car runs in the 1/4? Is it quick? Thanks.

hey...well i ran a 15.8 best time with the yellow one (88)...but i recently swapped my zc (head, mpfi, block, tranny, wiring harness...etc.), short shifter, exhaust, and steering wheel into my 89....so its practically an 88, with an 89 body except for the ecu.....with the 89 my best time was 15.6@88mph but then again my clutch is so bad that i had to stop racing...so i have a "stock" crx w/exhaust and 10 extra horsies....15.6 isnt too bad...by the end of the winter w/bolt ons and some tuning, i plan to go anywhere from 15.4 (which i should be able to do now) to 15.0.....

And for the "is it quick" question...i mean its not bad...i took the 89 out and raced a few people, 93 non-turbo supra...beat him.....a z23 cavi....beat him, and a p5t (new turbo protogee??), and i beat him....so i mean as for being quick...yeah its quick, but not fast yet

I just don't understand why people go from light to light stomping the shyt out of the gas. I hardly ever race my car on the street unless sum1 f*cks with me, and my sleeper. I can only put 93+ octane in my car, and the prices for gas are a little too high to go a little faster. I never hit vtec unless i'm running someone, or if i pull out into traffic

i was so close to letting my ex-boyfriend (when we were together) drive my car. i'm protective of it, i mean, i've put a LOT of work and $$ into it, so why shoudn't i be, right?!? anyways, he had practicaly convinced me until i got a call from his mom saying he had been in a car accident. totally his fault. he blew through a red light. he never got near my keys after that. the only person i trust to drive my car now is my sister (she's a racer too). and he usually drove, since he was always bitchin when i drove about wanting to drive my car.
