depends on where you live (like i said in my other responce). i would suggest the best place to start would be with your local dmv or judicial branch. try to find info on car laws, or start calling numbers and track down the info until you find it. most of it is emmissions stuff but really in a lot of places almost anything that is not stock is illegal and it just depends if the cops want to bust you or not. depending on where you live, you can probably do anything you want as long as you stay away from street races. a lot of times at these things, they know you were racing but can't proove it so they impound you car and try to screw you in any way that they can for any little aftermarket part from an air filter to aftermarket headlights, anything.
