1990
My 1990 k-1500 pickup died this morning--a guy beat on the fuel tank and it started. He told me it was the fuel pump. This pickup has 245000 miles on it so its not inconceivable, but after reading some items on this website I'm wondering if its not the fuel filter. I haven't replaced it ever and I bought the truck with 67,000 miles.
Any advice? |

I would say you need a new filter guarunteed, maybe the new pump since it started after an epic beating... It wouldn't hurt to run some fuel system cleaner, that's good for the entire fuel lines, injectors, pumps, and filters. Good luck with it though
