Question 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

Hi, 2 days ago, i race a friend with a 97 GTP, and I win all the race in a long way. I was in front about 3 or 4 cars. Mine was stock and my friend GTP is stock too. Her car in the Raceway was 10sec, and mine 9.51sec. I've been driven her car in the raceway and i feel no power on it. What can be the problem? Maybe wrong spark plugs?, fuel delivery?, inyectors?...

Thanx

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

How many miles does she have on it? Have you changed the spark plugs? Have you changed the wires?

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

My car and his car have 92k miles (both), when i've driven his car on the raceway my best time was 9.88sec, and when i've raced my car on the raceway I was 9.51 on my car. My car and his car has new spark plugs and wires. Are the same. Suggestions?... Comments?... Thanx =)

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

maybe your car was built on a friday ten minutes before closing time. Could be the driver too.

What were the 60ft times when you raced your car and also when you drove the other car. Different 60ft times will affect your final time.

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

No two cars are built the same......and no two cars are def. the same after that many miles are put on them.

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

I agree with Rom. Is like when you have twins separated at birth. Both originally were exactly the same but based on experiences(or parts thrown in) the output could be different.

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

you are talking about 3 tenths here that could be wheel slippage and all due to your launch.

Re: 97 GTP vs 97 GTP

Yeah there isn't much difference in the timing at all here. I would have to agree with tire slippage or your launch or reaction time.
