Idle problem?
I have a 2001 WS6 Trans Am... The other night I cranked it and it wouldn't idle, then after a few minutes (keeping the idle up myself) it began to idle - still not the normal idle though...when put in gear it went dead... then after a little bit of driving it wouldn't go dead when coming to a stop..
Well, last night I get in it and it cranks and runs fine and this morning it goes back to a rough idle. What gives? Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? It runs fine when driving, no skip or anything and the alternator appears to be charging. Also has a brand new battery...Please HELP!

Hmmm...but wouldn't that cause the check engine light to come on and the computer to store a code? Neither have happened yet....But Thanks I'll look for loose hoses or busted t's/couplers...
I just hate taking it to the dealer cause I know I'll get reamed! |

Maybe a vacuum leak, it's just weird because it only does it when it is really cold outside....anyone know why this could be?

Re: Idle problem?
How about the idle air control valve.
