This is funny and desgusting all at once. I'm still not sure if this is for real, but it appears so. It's obvious that the intention was partly as protest for a number of things (frivolous lawsuits, commercialization of emotions, etc.). That's complete and utter BS. these give it away:
1. Despair has also petitioned the court to require defendants to submit a handwritten letter which repeats the phrase ":-( is a registered trademark of Despair, Inc." one-thousand times. A ruling on the petition is expected within a week. yeah, right 2. only 7m people have used emoticons? BS if you're still not sure type the supposed lawfirm 'Larkow, Madley & Associates' in google, surprise surprise nothin comes up...
