Hi, I think you have to (re)program the transmitters. This is how to do that:

1.Ground pin 4 to pin 8 of the DLC (Data Link Connector) The locks will lock and unlock within 2 seconds as a responce.
2. Press and hold the LOCK an UNLOCK buttons simultaneously, on the first transmitter to be programmed, until the locks cycle (+/- 10 sec)
3. Repeat step 2 for up to 4 transmitters.
4. Remove the ground applied to the DLC
5. verify the operation of the transmitters.

The DLC is located under the steering wheel it is used to connect the OBD.

I think you have to reprogram the transmitters. Thsi is how to do that:

1. Short pin 4 and 8 on the DLC (Data Link Connector) After about 2 second the locks will respond with a cycle (close - open)
2. Press and hold the locjk and unlock button on the first transmitter you want to program, until the locks cycle (about 10 sec)
3. repeat step 2 for each remote (up to 4)
4. remove the short on pin 4 and 8
5. TEST OPERATION

The DLC is located under the steering wheel.

These directions worked perfectly! I bought a keyless remote for my 1997 GMC Yukon on eBay for $15.00 plus $3.00 shipping. I used these directions to program it. For $18.00, I got a fully functional remote, which would have cost me about $100 at my local GMC dealer. Thanks for the info!

when you say short pin 4 and 8 , do you mean that i should make a jumper wire and contact these two pins?
