i was just wondering what engines could fit into a 2002 Dodge Neon SE without custom fabrication for motor mounts?my car is auto and im think about doing a Auto - Manual tranny swap. sorry if there was a thread like this already. i know that anything is possible with money and patience.

Re: engine swaps
The only engine I know of that will fit directly in your car, other than the regular SOHC you already have, is a Magnum. Swapping a Magnum requires other things to be changed, like the PCM, harness, ex./intake manifolds.
I'm not absolutely certain about G2 Neon ATX -> MTX swaps, but I'd say it's fairly straight forward, like the G1 Neons. It would really help if you had access to a parts car, so you can get all the little parts you need, because you won't remember everything. ![]() Here's a good starting point: http://neons.org/howtos/atx2mtx.shtml |

Re: engine swaps
There's no call for that.
If your parents offered to buy you a car at that age would you turn them DOWN? I sure as hell wouldn't. I'd have a hard time saying no at my age! hehe |
