Re: F1 dreams!

It's probably NOT possible =)

and by "probably NOT" I mean that McLaren is definitely not producing any more F1s.

Not only "no", but "absolutely no". Production of the F1 is done. They've stated it already that they will not be building anymore.

If you want to play the 'why game', I'll let others answer that.

Also, the molds used to create the fiberglass and its shape were destroyed (I think I read that in the Driving Ambition Book).

I presume you mean the carbon moulds and I can tell you these weren't all destroyed. They might have a little trouble repairing some of the cars after crashes otherwise...

It would be nice to think that McLaren would just start up production if someone offered them enough wedge but that just ain't gonna happen. I for one can't think of any reason why they would want to.

M Bernoulli, can you find out when the McLaren museum will be open? Mini magic is on his way over.

Yeah he asked me before. I believe it won't be until all the companies have moved to the new site. Currently only McLaren Cars are there. I think it won't be until Summer 2005 at the earliest.

Damn the Merc's anyhow! F1,F2,F3...please !Wat next!I personally don't like the Mclaren SLR or whatever its called.Looks like an oversized clown shoe!No offence to Merc Lovers, but i think they should stick in the class of Luxury, pomp and procession! Not too fond of Merc's as sports cars! Granted the SLK(or R, i forget) does look a beauty, and could probablly pull its weight a good lap or two...but in my personal opinion Merc's are outclassed by the likes of a Lambo, or Ferrari and Porsche even! Don't mean to hate, but its just a damn shame F1's hadda go!

why would you want to? It would cost you more to get one built than buy a second hand one, surely??? i cant see Mclaren paying up to build a new one without passing the cost to the consumer.....
