Unhappy Needed urgent help........

Hi, Guys. Some of you might have seen my posting b4, and i needed help again. I have a radiator leak about 2 wks ago and my cousin help me to replace that (automatic). While we were doing this, we lost some of the transmission fluid that were in the radiator and some drip out (not sure how much). I wanted to check and add some tranny fluid back, but i couldn't find the yellow dipstick yet. (ppl said that should be behind the transmission) Now i have a maintaince required light came on perminently @98,900 miles and i could hear some clinking sound near the transmission area, front passenger side door. Does anyone know if it is the low transmission fluid that cause the light come on? Or it's the light that scheduled at a certain time came on? What about the constant light clinking sound when the car is in park? Any info will be helpful.

Re: Needed urgent help........

I don't know that the low fluid level is the problem but it would be the first thing I would do. Also the maintance requred light comes on automatically. But the check engine light comes on when there is a problem. Is it the check engine light or the maint light?

Re: Needed urgent help........

It's just the maintaince required light (orange), not the engine. I am also not sure if the low fluid lvl will trigger the light.

if your not sure where the dipstick is for the tranny, the first thing i would do is to go to autozone or pepboys and ask. the tranny is not someting to go oh well on. replace that fluid as soon as possible. and you should go to an auto parts store and pick up a manual for your car. about $20. even though i know what im doing, its always good to double check. and with the maint. req'd light, you should be able to go to acura and have them reset it for nothing. (maybe) i heard that if you disconnect the battery cable(red one) for about 5 min, and connect it again that the light will go off. and if your radio needs a security code, make sure you know it.

Re: Needed urgent help........

There is a button on a box under the dash on the drivers side you hold this button in for a few seconds and the light will go out. Also use honda or Acura fluid in your tranny.
