1995 grand am gt keyless entry

Have been searching around for days now, how to reprogram a keyless entry transmitter for a 95 pontiac grand am gt.

There have been about 4 prevailing techniques, of which exactly 0 seems to work.

Can someone, anyone, please list the true instructions how to do this? Or, at least, exactly where i can find the RECEIVER to at least verify that my FCC ID's match up? I bought the rke transmitter on ebay from an auction listing my exact year/make/model and even color. However, not ever seeing the transmitter before (used car) it's a shot in the dark if this is even the right transmitter.

To top this all off, my drivers side LOCK button doesnt work. Unlocks fine, but if i were already in the car i woudlnt need to unlock it.

So, i just leave my car unlocked all the time. Having to use a second key to unlock the door is a real hassle. PLUS, the key doesnt work in my drivers side door, its a bad copy.

So, if i lock my door by hitting the passenger side lock, i'm secure. but to get back in, i have to key the passenger door, hit the passenger unlock, walk around, then get in. This really sucks if anyone's watching.

Geeze i need to get this remote up and working! please, help!!
