messed with the ignition key wires, now car wont start!!

well what happened is that i was trying to install a keyless starter for a present for my sister.....but when i was messing with some of the wires near the ignition key (actually these two red wires comming out of the ignition key) it sparked, then when i tired to start the car it wouldnt start. But when i did get it to start it would die out as soon as i took my foot off the gas!!. I checked all the spark plug and they were fine......hopefully someone can help...Thanks anyone
