Towing with a 5.3L

Hello everyone,
I am a newcomer to this forum and look forward to good advice I might get from others here.
I currently have a 93 suburban K1500 with a 350 engine and want to upgrade. I was wondering if anyone else tows an 8000lb boat with one of the 2000 and up Suburbans with a 5.3L engine? I know the 5.3L has much more Hp (than my current 350)but I am concerned it might not have the torque I am looking for. Also I do not look forward to having to rev the engine ridiculously high rpm's to get the power I need to tow.So I was thinking about getting a 5.3L and adding a supercharger. Does anyone have any experience with a supercharger on a 5.3L that gets used for towing applications? I want to stay with the 1500 series to get the better ride since I also use it a lot for non-towing duties. The reason, I am concerned about the ride. Does a 2500 series ride a lot harsher than a 1500?
Thanks,
Paul
