Re: Flooring the SPec-V

first time happening?? if not i would have this checked...flooring a specv is fine but redline is 6000rpm and unless you have proper mods to extend your redline to 7000rpm then this could cause problems for your car...especially if you consistently drag in the "red"....they put the "red" on the tach for a reason....check www.hpautoworks.com i believe they have the mods needed to extend the rev limit in the specv

Re: Flooring the SPec-V

To my knowledge there is no mod or ECU out right now that will extend the rev limiter for the 2.5 QR25DE engine. Like mreff said...redline right now is 6250. So if you are taking the car to 7000 rpm's in first gear then you are a moron. If you can find something that expands the rev limiter on the 2.5 please let us know...it will be news to us all.

You nailed the rev limiter. It doesn't do any damage (well not any more than bringing it up to the redline in the first place), it's the car's way of saying you need to shift.

Yes, you nailed the rev limiter nearly 1000 rpm into redline with no plans of shifting
