uh oh!

I just bought a 2002 LTZ that has 18000 miles on it. I was just looking around on the computer and saw a number of very disturbing owner reviews of Trailblazers. What have I gotten myself into? I like the truck very much so far (great power, nice ride, features, looks), but I am quite afraid suddenly. Should I turn around and get it back to the dealer?

I too bought an LTZ with 6k on the clock. After driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee for 6 years the TB seems to float down the road. However it seems that no make is immune from its share of trouble. The weak point on the Jeep is trans and brakes. The only trouble free car I have ever owned was a Chevy Lumina 176k with only an alternator, water pump, and coil pack going bad. Total cost $125.00 in 7 years. Now my wife's Honda Accord w/166k on the odo has only need a timing belt $500.00 and cv boots. I wish everything worked as well as the Honda or the Lumina. Keep your eyes open on forums like these since the mfgrs. often secret warranty certain things when they are called on it. There was a secret warranty later public on the front brakes of the Grand Cherokee that had a lot to so with enough folks showing up and complaining with a consistent story. Brakes are difficult to get warranty work on anyway. Seems a shared story on a forum resulted in DC finally doing something about it. I joined this forum so I could stay ahead of the curve on problems and solutions. Since an informed owner can do battle with the dealer without getting jerked around I hope the participation level increases here. My $.02.

Re: uh oh!

I won a 2003 TrailBlazer LS and it runs damn fine with me. I was goin to sell it but I had a second thought, why sell it? It's fast enough, powerful, looks good and, somehow, better than some cars when it comes to fuel consumption. (i.e. Yukon or Escalade..etc.) so I sold my old car (VW Passat) and kept the -monster- by my side.
