Apologies.

My sincere apologies to the people I issed off today, i went a little far, In my town, Honda's are everywhere, your not this unless you drive a honda, your not that, i'm sick of all the crap they feed any body else who drives anything else, I didn't mean to turn it into class, but in my town, that is what it's resorted to, i get it every day from the clowns her, so when the things were said on the forum about rice, it just sounded like it had spread to the whole world. Very respectfull when you can do the things you want on your own, so apologies to all I may have afended. Second, I do agree on some of your issues about going to far with stickers and so on, But power mods to the car do not make it ricey, and further more, if a car has a kit on it and that is what the owner likes then hey, that works, you don't have to drive it. So again my apologies, but it was just an opinion.

It's everywhere guys...
even up here in Alaska.

More then ever i'm willing to bet. People have nothing else better to do then work on cars.

Performance mod's don't make it rice. It's when you get your body kit, lights, lightup valve caps...is when it turns rice with NO mods.

That's what Rice is.

No matter how much people say they dislike rice (which personally i find a tad offensive cause of the shere dirogatory offence to asains) (sp) as much as you deny it, we all were rice one time or another. Altezza lights where cool, no doubt. But the first time i saw a Soccor mom having them on her suburban, that was about the time i said, "ewww not for me". What do you call all the Billet items for trucks, cant call it "Rice" so for a better term i would just state it as "Played Out". Big Loud Exhust, i always found sanomous (sp) with pocket rockets, one that that was very intising to me.

I am first to be informed on the Lancer Oz GTR rally edition from my dealer in town when the come in, (or what ever the Sales manger stated to me later this afternoon as the correct name for the US Evo) but if it comes between paying my rent or getting a car i really want, its not really up to me, cause the new evo has roomy back sets, but i dont think my family would be happy sleeping in the trunk.

Lets all try to get along, and try to focus our more unguided brothers towards the path of right (although i strictly dislike conforming to others exspectations, but thats for another rant) and have people express themselves through thier car. Remeber, if you dont like the way thier car looks, your car is fast, when you see them coming, just haul ass away.

You do have a point about a soccor mom with altezzas being orgional, thats something yall might not see around your town. I must retort my comment stating that when i see something on a soccor moms Burben, that it is like most people seeing someone drive around in a Ford Festva with Altezzas on it and lime green and primer paint on it with Daytons on it. Its something you dont makes you not want to have those items on your car or truck.

Wow guys! Im am truely amazed!

You have proven to me that there are infact some mature members here at AF.
I hope no one took any offence at me closing the post, the rice discussion has got out of hand before, and I didnt want to happen again.
But becuase you guys seem able to keep at an objective levelheaded view on things, and not flame other members Ill open it back for ya, clearly closing it was a mistake, I think I judged you all quite wrong.

Thanks guys!

(if someone less mature does show up and start flaming in the thread, please tell me via a PM and they will be delt with. thanks.)

Lol I know what ya mean, even though i live in a small town i go to a larger town on the weekends to streetrace and i see plenty of them. But i always feel if everything is in good taste and modaration, then i am more then happy to see any form of self expression on a persons vechile, they put the money in it, and in my eyes, its just slowing them down so i can pass them even easier.

Thanks Moopy (hope i got it right)
I am new here didnt mean to strike up such a contrveral dissucsion, but seemed like something that most people are to afraid of to defend with out the fear of getting flamed. Glad to see a Mod who is willing to read the messages instead of just do nothing when a all out brawl starts.

hate to say it but

Mad Props to Da Mod.

LOL

Its just great to see some mature members here at AF who dont get upset over what at the end of the day is only an internet forum.
You guys are like role models to other AF members.

And please feel free to get out and have a look around the other forums, we could use a calming influence at the moment.

here in Australia we have alot of 'riced' (modified) up cars. I mean alot.
From Toyotas, to Mitsu's, nissans, the works. Everyone in Oz modifies there car to make it look better then the normal stock appearance.

Theres no different treatment for owners as mention in this thread, thats quite odd(!?). Alot of people put kits on their cars, change the lights and so forth, some do cool mods that arent too much while others go overboard but somehow make the car look ok.

If you have the money and the equipment, hey you can do anything you want, but you should know what the limit is. As for the different treatment because u dont drive a Honda, thats just f**king pathetic.

It is great seeing such mature responses. As for those who down you for not having a Honda, remember these wise words:

You laugh at me for being different, I laugh at you for being the same.

(taken from a wise Maxima.org member)

That's the best thing about being in a democratic country, you can do as you please. Try this in Iran or Afganistan.
