Does anyone know of any Celsior or Soarer kits that come with the 4lt quad cam v8??? My dads putting one in his 1:1 hilux and I was going to build him a model, an engine would make it awesome

Tamiya's Celsior kit has the 1UZ-FE engine.

No Soarers are the funny round Lexuses, the ones with the long hoods. I don't think they sell them anymore. -- After a little research looking around the Japanese Toyota website and comparing cars, the Soarer is now sold as the ugly Lexus convertible here in the U.S. The SC. Way to ruin that car....

Re: Toyota V8??

Soarer=

-the SC300 had a 3.0L V6-slowly becoming a popular car to put turbo 2JZ GTE's in
-the SC400 had a 4.0L V8
-the NEW SC430. Very pimp. hard folding convertable top (like on MB SLK320), 4.3L V8. This car is in the game The Getaway btw.

Re: Re: Toyota V8??

Hmm, so it's possible to put the V8 in my fujimi trueno instead of the 2jzgte TT from the f n' f supra. SHIT. Now I can't decided.

The Soarer or Lexus SC400 is a very common grey import in Australia, comes with 2.5TT (1JZ-GTE), 3.0 straight 6 (?) and 4.0 V8 (1UZ-FE) sorry for the confusion.

Soarer

No, not ambitious. Just me, I'm addicted to the raw torque and power of an N/A V8. I roll up in the fetal position and cry myself to sleep at night, because I miss the pure torque and power of my 454SS. I need to get one of those V8's to put in my Corolla.

Well someone in Australia managed to fit a TT V8 in a ~70's TA23 Celica so if they can do that you can fit one in your Corolla
