Engine Swap
i'm starting on a 97 project eclipse and was just wandering what kind of problem i would run into if i put a 3kgt vr4/tt engine in it. thx in advance

First of all why bother when the DSM motors make the same or more power and weight half as much? That aside, the whole thing about it being a physically very large motor, harness, computer, exhaust, etc. Way more work than it would ever be worth. Just by the way you worded the question I can tell that you arent quite at the level necessary to take on such a custom swap as this one. One that I believe has never been done (for good reason).

I was thinking about doing that, and then I ACTUALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT. Once I thought everything through, I realized it just isn't worth it. For it to even be possible, you would probably have to make parts to convert the engine into the eclipse. For it to fit, you would probably have to gut out the engine bay, but then you might not have enough room to run everything.
