67 Austin Healey Sprite

I have a few questions for anyone who can help. It is about my wifes 1967 Austin Healey Sprite. First my speedometer bounces and the odometer is stuck. I was wondering if this was just the cable or the speedometer itself. Also the tachometer does not work. And the fuel gauge does not work. The man I bought the car from said when it was painted they just never hooked up the wires to the fuel tank and that was all that needed to be done. Thanks.
