Question '01 grand prix

I am working on an '01 grand prix 3.8(k) nonsuper charged. It's original problem was rough idle, lack of power. We replaced plugs and wires, fuel filter was clogged so we replaced that. We also replaced the module. After the plugs and wires, the car smoothed out, but it still has a noticable lack of power especially when it gets to 3500 rpms. Any ideas?

Re: '01 grand prix

Depending on the mileage you should replace the maf sensor and the O2 sensor(s).
They control the air/fuel mixture. Also could check the Crank Position Sensor(The 3 mentioned), it controls ignition timing. All what I have mentioned is related to power. You can PM flatrator(i think that is the handle) look it up. he is a technitian. He might give some pointers

Re: '01 grand prix

I would unplug your battery for an hour to reset the pcm. It may be that the clog and the crappy maintainance condition will require extensive relearning. The pcm just averages settings over time if you don't reset it. I assume the air filter was replaced?
