My friend contiually fixes his old Jetta with parts from the junkyard. If you know where to sell it, there's someone who needs anything somewhere. ESPECIALLY cars as common as a Civic. Another friend just blew his Civic engine. And he got a great deal on a new one.... wonder where it came from.... hmmmm.... Hey, at least he's gettin' a great deal!

Re: why steel a civic???

I wish I knew where there was a chopshop - I live in the Methamphetamine capital of the U.S. (probably the world for that matter) - I'm so sick of seeing these guys that I remember from school (dipshits) that are driving around in brand new BMWs, Lexus's, Escalades and what have you - if I knew where there was a chopshop, and I knew that there weren't any connections between the guy running the chop shop and these drug dealing parasites - I'd carjack them at Glockpoint, handcuff them up, throw them in the car, drive them out to the middle of nowhere, drop them off, and then go and drop their car off at the chopshop for a quick $500.

honda oem assrapes you no lube on part costs. as far as pro thevies go a stock 5th gen dx is much better then a turbo 99SI thats how bad honda oem is. In fact on stuff i've needed to replace ive saved cash upgrading.Honda oem is brutal and dealing with stolen parts is cheaper thats the main reason
