fuel filter

im pulling my hair out on this one.
i just replaced my fuel pump and strainer 4 days ago turns out it wasent my fuel pum p it was my main relay so i repalced that. but now when the engine starts when its cold it takes a few trys then stalls once and then if fine.
even after it warms up and i start it agian. so i figured i would change the fuel filter. i replaced the fuel filter and now the dam thing wont start.
there is fuel going into the filter but not coming out into the intake manifold. if anyone has any ideas please give me a hand this is real fustrating.

also so the line going to the intake manifold off the fuel filter goes on the right side? because the picture in the manuall at hybrid tech says different. i have a 91 dx.

Re: fuel filter

I mean looking at the engine, right side to engine - left fuel supply from tank

I would fix the fuel problem, then look into the ignition system - coil/cap/rotor/plugs/.etc

Perhaps you have accidently switched the fuel hoses? If not try messing with the bolts, on the outlet side of the fuel filter, there are 2 holes in the bolt for fuel to come in/out, maybe that hole is not facing the inside of the fuel filter and is blocked by somthing.

well i was working on it today and came to this. when i turn the key to 2 position and listen to the fuel pump it turns on.
also i diconnected the fuel line going into the fuel filter and trun it in 2nd position fuel dribbles out but very little. the problem im having is that fuel is not going from the fuel filter to the intake manifold. i took the hose off and checked for clogs. but it is fine. i was getting a code 15,16
but reset the ecu and they went away. im really stumped.
i put this new fuel pump in a week ago and it was fine now i dont know what the hell is going on. its like im not getting any pressure
