i-4 is much better to be tuned... can take very high hp
v6 has good power right off teh lot.. but can only handle so much power
if youre a serious yuner and know what youre doin go i-4

Nisco is right
The Inline 4 model is a much better tuner (and on a side note, depending on what kind of road you're on, you can toast Civics anyway sometimes untuned) lol

well it all depends on what youre willing to spend on your car.....
potential speed= time and money!
alot of both
do reaserch on what you need!... if you dont find what youre lookin for im sure someone here can help you out.. or any other hyundai board
im assuming you wont be needing the extended warranty if you plan to mod out your car...
but before you do...
break your car in first
let your car get to its normal running rate...

Go I4....I'm beating V6's in mine. You can ask SharkBitV6(auto,Injen CAI & Mussa catback/exhaust), or Pheenawm(5 speed,SRI) from NT.com. They can vouch for me.....I've raced both of them. Don't get me wrong, the V6 is hella fast, but the I4 responds better to mods.....plain and simple(Plus the I4 is lighter becuse of the smaller engine, wheels, and tires). Check out my page in my sig. It's got all my mods listed along w/ pics of my tib, sharkbitV6's and pheenam (from NT.com).

you will not be getting a turbo kit installed for 2000. if you do it yourself, the cheapest turbo kit i can find for hyundai engines is 2600. you are better off just getting the v6 and getting intake, headers, exhaust, pulleys, short shifter(if you are getting a manual), and a big bore throttle body. that will be around 2k.

If you go with the V6 the Injen Race Division CAI will add 15.6 to the wheels Dyno Tested. The Mussa Cat Back will add 17 HP to the wheels Dyno Tested. Right there is over 30 HP to the wheels off of 2 mods. The Injen CAI runs about 239 but more than likely can be found around 200 if you look hard enough. The Mussa Cat Back ive saw between 480 and 630. Id prob spend the 630 to ensure I got the correct one. So for about 850 you can get 30 HP to the wheels and that is a hell of a difference..

Re: wut has more potential? I4 or V6?

Oh forgot to add the Supercharger nisco is speaking of is 47.7 HP Dyno Tested. It's made by Alpine. I don't know too much about the I4 cause I bought the V6 but I do know it can be one mean lil I4 if tuned right..
