74 260Z with unknown carbs
I have a 74 260Z i want to restore to as close to original as possible. i know its going to be a long process especially with the condition its in but anyway. I am trying to figure out what these after market carbs are on it and i was wonder if anybody has ever heard ofthem maybe. In the filter screen the say Weiand RAM-FLO, LYNX Australia. When I can I will post a pic of them. Hopefully someone has heard or seen these. Also I just want to check but the intake manifold says Japan N36 on it, IS this the stock manifold or aftermarket. Thanks for the help

260's are not my specialty but i will do my best. the intake is most likely a jdm type from a fairlady. does the vaccuum comes out of the bottom of the intake? that would be fairlady. and are those carbs one or two barrels. and are there two or three? if you have 3 two barrels, they are probably kehins or a similar small carb. if there are two one barrels, the are most likely solex (factory) with an aftermarket jet kit or something, or mikunis. in any case, they are not stock. its much easier to use solex carbs than any aftermarket carb, but they are pretty useless on anything besides a vintage Z. that engine can handle a whole lot more gas and air with stock internals than solex's will ever provide. 260's arent that desireable to Z collecters unless they are fully loaded and completely original.

Re: 74 260Z with unknown carbs
they are 2 carbs one barrel each. The manifold i have to look again for the vaccum line. I do plan to restore this thing as close to original as possible, i want to get all parts off of other 260's if i can. if all else fails, i like the look and if no one wants it, i can drop a v8 in it or something later on, but for now i want to genuinely restore it.
