Heater Smoking
This morning my heater on my 97 F150 started smoking from the vents and smelled terrible. I assume this isn't something I can fix myself but if I could get an idea and cost what it is so I can have an educated conversation with the shop I would appreciate it.
Thanks |

Re: Heater Smoking
I'm guessing it was not smoke but steam. If I'm correct, your heater core just took a shi@ on ya. They cost around 35.00-45.00, mine for a older model was 37.00. Like I said in a prev. post, a mechanics book will say it takes a hour and a half to fix. I got mine in and out in under a half hour. And the smell was hot antifreeze. Check your floor mat on the passenger side...it it wet?
