2000 grand am se

I have a 2000 Grand Am that when I turn on my heater, I get a gas smell. Is this dangerous? What do you all think the problem is?

Any time you smell raw fuel, thats considered a BAD thing!
I would highly recommend you have your car checked for fuel leaks.
