Focus SVT?

I'm going to need a new car before long, I currently have a base 98 neon with 90k miles. I would like a car with some kick, but also gets good mileage and will last. I can't afford to go over 20k right now. I wanted to get an SRT-4, but they are kind of expensive and no cc. I'm currently considering a Mazdaspeed Protege, Mits. Ralliart, Nissan SE-R Spec V or SVT Focus. I've heard of quality concerns with the MSP and Spec V. The focus has 5k discount right now, but its an 03. Should I jump on the SVT or wait to see if the SRT will have any rebates or the Ralliart any better rebates. I'm also thinking of waiting for this summer to check out the Saturn Redline or Chevy Cobalt. If I get a better job by then, I would love to move up to the WRX or new mustang.

Re: Focus SVT?

Well if you want speed and no handeling go for a mustang. I had a 98 cobra convertible for 5 years, great car but if you are interested in an all around good and fun car keep looking at the focus svt. I a "used" 2002 svt with only 3000 miles on it for only $13000 ata dealer and it really is fun to drive. It handles great and I actually drive it faster than I did my mustang.
