ABS problems, could use some helo

Basically, my abs are way to sensitive, i dont know if its me or if they are messed up. There's probably not a way to change how sensitive they are, so, i would like to disable them. I've looked online and can't find any sites that show me how to do it. Does anyone know how to disable the abs on a 1996 chevrolet s10 2wd? Any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks.

well they come on when they really shouldn't, and i know this because abs should come on when you slam on the breaks, mine came on yesterday as soon as my foot touched the break pedal. i think theres just a sensor or something electronically wrong possibly...i would just like to know how to disconnect them.

i'll look today, but i think you would just bypass the electronic part of it.
however, i am a fan of abs.

Honestly, I wouldn't disable them. ABS has saved my butt dozens of times on icy or wet roads. If you can, I would suggest having it looked at. The easiest way I can think of to disable them though would be to pull the breaker out. It would either be in the fuse panel inside the cab or in a relay box under the hood. I'm not sure if that would totally disable your brakes but I don't think that it would. Most ABS-equipped vehicles have a failsafe so that if the ABS stops working(or the breaker blows) you will still be able to stop the car. But I would say you should just have them looked at. Could just be a faulty sensor. Also, try pulling the breaker out, start the engine, shut it off, then replace the breaker. Hope that helps.
