dohc cam timing set up

Does anybody out there know how to set the cams up correctly while the engine is at TDC, I am pretty sure the front bank needs to have the flats face up, but what about the rear bank?

Re: dohc cam timing set up

91, does your car has marks on the heads to allign with the cams? When my technician friend replaced the timing belt he tight wrapped the cams on my Z34 because the sucker did not had any marks to keep the timing in place.
Best bet is to get a Chilton and they would explain how to realign the cams correctly if that is your problem. I love that engine but the markless heads and cams is a real pain

Try www.60degreev6.com

I think they have a write-up on timing the cams.
