Error readings ? and Electric tricks

Hi all,

Everybody here are talking about error readings. Error 37, error ?? ... How do you see these errors ? Is there a trick to display the error ? Or do you guy's go to the dealer and hook it up to the computer ?

Are there more tricks by pushing some combinations of buttons ? I know how to reset the flashing airco buttons and the auto doorlock @ 25km/h.

Are there more ?

Dennis

Cool error tricks

hi dennis

within 5 seconds.....
you turn the key to the RUN position (not START),
then you turn to the OFF position,
then to the RUN position again,
then to the OFF position again,
then to the RUN position again.
the CHECK ENGINE light will begin flashing,
you count the number of times it flashes to get the number.
it will flash a number of times with SHORT intervals,
this is the first number,
then there will be a LONG interval,
this means the next number is comming.
then it will flash a number of times with SHORT intervals again,
it will give you all the stored codes.
when it flasshes 5 times-long interval- 5 times,
that is code 55 which means END OF CODES.
then you'll need a HAYNES or CHILTON book to decipher the codes.
hope this helps

Hmm... I have the Haynes 1984-1995 Dodge Caravan manual and I don't see any reference to the error codes.

Any other source?

Lightbulb Tricks and Error Codes

hello hout

I have always found the error codes in the "Emissions and Engine Control" sections of the "Haynes" books for all vehicles including diesel.
