My Kia Rio GO SQUISH
I loved my little "Turtle" (2001 Kia Rio emrald green) But on Friday the 12th of December my turtle got squished beyond fixing (R.I.P. Little friend) I was run off the road and over an embankment that fell 10 - 15 feet and then it rolled several times before stopping. Thank God I walked away with minor bruising that is all. Most that see it say I should be dead. Kia Rio's do have thier troubles but they are quite safe in a rollover. At least five flips.

Re: My Kia Rio GO SQUISH
I am sorry about your car, but I am glad you are alright. Do you remember if your airbags deployed? My sister was in an accident in a Kia Sephia and her airbags did not deploy. We are trying to find out why. She was travelling at almost 45 mph and was hit almost head-on.Let me know if you have any ideas.

Only the new Spectra, Sorento, and Amanti have side airbags. If the car rolls over, there isn't any sensor in the side pillar to deploy the airbags. Also, if the seatbelts are not plugged in, then only the driver's airbag deploys (the computer thinks that nobody is in the passenger's seat if the belt isn't plugged in).
Also, any aftermarket stereo, alarm, or remote starter could cause a problem with the computer (true on more cars today). |
