I hope no one is bidding on this as I don't think it is a real Owner's Manual. I can provide a picture of the cover a real one (but I would rather not, why give an imposter the genuine thing).

On the other hand, this looks like one of the special edition "Driving Ambition" books. I don't remember the engine picture in that size from my ordinary copy. This still makes this auction worthwhile at it's current price but I do not believe this to be a genuine Owner's Manual.

Drew's right - it's not an Owner's Manual. It's also not a Launch Brochure as those weren't hard bound. It does appear to be somewhat like the Launch Brochure though, so maybe its just a hard bound version of one.

It's not thick enough to be a special edition copy of "Driving Ambition". If it's not simply a hard cover version of the Launch Brochure, then my guess is that it was some interim book that McLaren Cars made post launch, and prior to "Driving Ambition". Maybe Mr. Bernoulli can confirm for us?

Bugger knows. Looks like a normal DA but with a grey cover so maybe as Drew said a special edition.

What surprises me is the fact that there is no mention of it being signed. Surely any special edition (in fact any copy sent out from 'Cars) would be signed by GM.

It is McLaren Cars headed notepaper and packing tape, and I would agree it was packed some time ago. Can anybody read either whats on the letter or the date of the postmark on the box?
