2000 Celica GTS

I currently Have a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX and i was thinking if i did sell it i might be able to get close to enough money to buy a 2000 Celica GTS with like 60k on it?

Point being how are the GTS for 1/4 mile time and 0-60 ? Is it an overall good car? I doubt it will be faster than the eclipse. but i like the celica because of the 6 speed tranny.

I want it for handling, good 0-60 and a good 1/4 so i can bring it to the track.

then stick with the car you have if you want to drag it...... celica are not made for drag races

yeah i think he knows but he says he likes the 6 speed and im guessing something like an STi is too expensive

Yea STI kinda out of the price range. I am liking the GTS because at around 60k miles on one im guessing a 13k or so pricetag.(private) and i can sell my car right now private for probably around 10,500 atleast. So it wouldnt be too much money id have to come up with. Does anyone know if the GTS does a 15.0 second 1/4 mile?

If you want some times go to Newcelica.org and look at the 1/4 times posted there. it should give you a good idea about waht the car can do

Honestly man, if you have that car then stick with that car. I know you want a 6 speed but beggers can't be choosers. You can't rely on the fact that immediately after you sell yours that you will be able to find a GTS in that price range. The gsx will be more of what you want with a few mods than a GTS will be with alot of mods. Just my professional opinion though.

i have a 2000 ceilca gts. but i was just wondering what mods i should do should do. like intake, egsaust, or anything else??
