|
my camaro is making a loud sound
well i was driving in the freeway when i pulled over to use the restroom my camaro was sounding fine, but when i took off again in the freeway it started to make this loud noise and it lost some horse power. the sound comes from somewhere around the engine

Well you need to take a good look in the engine compartment and underneath the car. Look for things like sticks or bushes, I know it sounds funny, but it happens. Also look for leaks. What does the noise sound like??

Ok, you probalby have an exhaust leak. Check your exaust for holes or cracks. If that's the case, and it's before your o2 sensor or the cat, then it'll effect your performance..damn computer controlled engines.

wow, thats random. im paranoid and would probly think that someone screwed with my car. but it definately sounds like you have an exhaust leak. probly a bown gasket or something. oh and make sure your airbox is tight. if its loose then the engine sounds will come out through the intake, and make it alot louder. aside from that, go get your hands dirty and find out what it is

I'm working on 5. I'll have 9 in when I get out. I'm thinking of opening my own shop. Specializing in... you guessed it, camaros. I was thinking like maybe a restoration/performance shop.
