4 wheel drive Doesnt work

My 1993 s10 Blazer suddenly quit qorking and would'nt you know after our first snow! I checked my front electic switch and was told it was fine now i am told it is a vacuam switch on my transfer case. I cannot find this, and i dont know the easiest way to remove such a monster ! Any Help would be much appreciated Thanx Murphdogg

Been there several times with my 91. It's a dealer only part or was the last time I bought one. It's a vacuum valve on the top right side of the trans. It has three vacuum lines going to it so you can see it if you're under the truck. It's like a 1-1/8 box end wrench 1/16 of a turn at a time due to clearance. Pop the hoses off(they are connected together) and unscrew the valve. Buy a new valve first so you can get the right wrench and kind of know what it looks like. Be carefull putting the new one in as it's just plastic and the hose connectors can break off. I don't know if you can get to it from the top taking off the shifter covers or not. That would be to easy. It's not a bad job but it is tight working.
