Something wierd has been happening to me lately. In the last month I have had recurring dreams and an occasional thought(almost daily) about a girl I dated like 4 years ago. Its really starting to aggrevate me. I mean its been around 4 years since I've seen her. And then all of the sudden now i have these dreams and thoughts all the time. Whats up with that? Am I like trying to say or do something in my dreams to correct the bad terms we stopped talking on? Just some crazy shit. Thought I'd see what anyone else's interpretation is of this.

I believe that this is known as the "What If" factor. You may or may not be over this girl, but either way its just your mind. Your mind is toying with the whole "What if I did this?" and " What if I did that?" Basically your mind is playing around with different scenarios of your previous relationship. Its pondering whether the relationship would have worked out if you had done one thing or another. Or its just pondering what life would be like if you were still in that relationship. This happens to everyone and believe me, its nothing to fret over. But it can be kind of weird though.

I tend to agree with this. Usually recurring dreams are based on something that is deeply effecting you subconcious and you, maybe without realising it, want closure or reassurance on the subject at hand.

I agree with the above posts. What you have to do though, is get to the root of the problem. It may not have anything to do with the girl at all, you're subconcious is just using that scenario as an example of something that's bothering you.

What have you been thinking about lately that could have led you to dream about this girl...?Probably weren't thinking about her particularly, but what about an emotion an action, an event or song that you associate with her, or perhaps with yourself during that period of time.

Yea, i think its more of the "What if" idea. And I don't think its so much that I still have feelings for her, its the fact that I'm not happy about how everything ended. Very ugly situation and it would take me a whole page or more to discuss it, so i wont even go there. Anyways, thanks to all of you for reading and commenting on the situation. I appreciate it.

I know with me, ill get a thought in my head sometimes and it wont get out for weeks. I'll think about moving and then i have to research moving until i get bored or prove that i cant do it right now.
