Let's get somethin straight about Rice.....

Alright all....I'm gettin kinda pissed at some of the posts on here...saying one thing is rice and another isn't.

Here's what I think is rice:

1. Puttin badges on a car that doesn't have anything from the company that the badge is for. Exp.: Type-R badge on a non-Type-R car

ya know what....screw it....there's a ticket to explain this all.

The thing is...I think some of you guys are takin it too far. I don't think making a car all show and no go is rice......

Rice is just bein plain ridiculous with yer car.

Don't bash on somebody just because they wanna make their car look different from other cars.

Bash on a guy who has a car that's just looks insanely stupid.

i am sorry, but i feel rice is nice. I shall have my Lancer to the ground, i will have my Evo bodykit on it with the wonderful Rally lights on it (even though its not a evo mind ya) going to give it a very nice spray of Starburst Tropical (Bahama Momma) blue, I will badge it according to what i put it, and i do like the big exhust tips, just does something for a vehicle if you ask me. Am I rice? Maybe, but i ask you, who is it that determines what is in and out of the car secene. Yes somethings are played out, and so shall be reconsidered before purchese. But people who buy those tacky little hood lights and altezzas are just trying to catch up to the rest of us. They are those kids that dont know about real car shops and only can rely on Autozone for thier parts.

anyways we all where rice one time or another before someone decided rice was not nice. A rise of anything will have limit before it starts to come down, and we are all in the downward fall of Pocket Rockets.

I agree with you on some points, but the fact still remains that RICE is RICE. I mean cmon...The Evo Kit on your lancer ISN'T going to make it look even remotely the same as the Evo. Too cheap to buy the actual car. Like the supra taillights for the prelude...It just seems so damn cheap. Your making your car look better when there is really NO performance behind that damn wing and your fart tip. You speak of your 'badges' and your 'Bahama Momma Blue.' I mean cmon...Spraying your car is ONE thing. Putting your rally lights(which i bet you'll never use) and your obnoxiously loud coffee can of an exhaust is RICE.

For you to claim that we were all rice at one point or another is WAY off base Dippie. Your should bone up on your Major before you start deciding for other people...

You gotta remember rEVOlution is that not everyone can buy an evo and then afford to pay for insurance.
Such is the way with me, I have every chance to get an early evo but the insurance costs is just gonna rape me up the arse, so the best thing is to just have a normal lancer with a body kit and wait till i'm a bit older.

insurance IS a pain in the arse, but there is a good reason (in their eyes) for making it prohibitively expensive for young-uns (i.e-the younger folks drive it like it's stolen, and thus are a greater risk to insure). I finally passed that milestone where an insurance company won't COMPLETELY rape me on premiums , but they're still bastards. The good news is that I'll be able to insure my EVO when I get it!

hey, all you guys who pick on the guy out there just trying to set his ride apart from the other, must drive hondas, cause only honda drivers pick on the other guys and call them "ricey" because there trying to justify there huge ass spoiler or incorrect badging. What we got here is some over abundent testosterone num nuts who were bulley's in highschool and haven't grown up yet. Yah your probably rollin in the cash, but you probably live at home to, most of us guys who have responsibilities, and pay bills each month, ie: own a house, and support kids, dont have the cash you lame brain hometown college live with mommy and daddy punks do, because we have lives, and so what if we want our cars to look decent. The problem with you guys is, that when someone tries to be different, we slam on them, well guess what, if you don't like the import tuner seen, unless is the fully loaded chop off your left testicle and sell your soul to the devil model, don't need to be slammin on the guy trying to make a life, and have little piece of the pie to. Why don't you rich boys, give pointers or give info that will help. Nope, your so concerned with what the horsepower under somebody elses hood or how another car looks, sounds a little bit paranoid to me. Why don't you rich guys leave the middle class alone. We already look up to your rich arses any way, so be noble, not assholes. Can't we all just get along.

i'm not talking about a nice kit, wheels, etc. but the coffee can tips sticking 5 inches out from the bumper with japanese writing all over the car, and a huge "Type R" sticker pasted on the rear of a chevy cavalier is pooh. there's nothing wrong with a car that's slow, my civic hatch is (and it has NO badging, graphics, or spoilers on it); but i can't stand people trying to pass their cars off as something it's not.

i personally don't like anything done in excess (except horsepower) but the guy's attacking altezza lights and hood lights one second (which he's correct for) and then turning around saying pasting a coffee can to your muffler is cool.

and raceghost, as for me being a rich little college boy, i paid for college on my own (with some academic scholarships), as well as my car, clothes and everything else. let's not turn this into a classe war.

OK, for the record...

Any form of rice is, for me, horrible. Your coffee can for an exhaust and your wanna be body kits aren't what cut it. I'm REALLY trying not to sound like an asshole. I just think that you shouldn't do it at all. It's an eyesore, obnoxiously loud, waste of money. Instead of buying your alteeza's, your coffee can, and your japenese writing(which i'm sure most of you out there can't even pronounce right), neon's, and your bodykit...save it towards a BETTER CAR. I'm tired of all the, "VTECH, EVERYTHING ELSE IS SLOW," bullshit. That MAY be a little stereo typical but I've run into people that say they can beat a 454 in their civic. That's what i'm talking about. All show and no go...i've always said that.

I have NOTHING against Honda's unless they've been riced and they have an asshole for a driver(ricer). SO don't say we MUST drive honda's because of the point we were trying to make.

Bottom line....
Save your money...put it into something you DON'T have to make look fast, because it can BE fast. Don't rice.
