Just so you know.

Automatic adjusting hydrualic clutches forking suck. Who ever had the bright idea to put these peices of shiot in cars need to be shot. It's really sad when you can't make a hard shift when you need to. So now I have to either spend 50 bucks on a whole replacement or 30 to convert to a mechanical one. Which one do you think I'm gonna get.

Re: Just so you know.

I guess self adjusting would have been a better way to put it. The linkage between the pedal and the clutch fork is hydraulic assisted and there are no adjustments. So if it screws up your assed out. My problem is, I got in my car after leaving autozone for some fuses, and stalled my car out. Now I have to put the clutch pedal all the way to the floor and acualy squeeze it on the floor board to shift. And it's getting worse, not I'm having trouble shifting. The cluth slave cylinder hopped on the underground railroad and freed it's self.

lol... that's the way it should be. Every Camaro should be a manual 5 speed. In my search for mine I would only even look at the car if it was manual. Didn't hinder me though. Manual or automatic I found the best 92 RS around (the only vehicles I would look at.) I only had to go about 50 miles to find the one I wanted too... not bad. All the ones that were available locally needed work, didn't look all that great, and had an automatic transmission. Just not acceptable.

Nice to see a '91-'92 without that huge box spoiler (guess it only came on the Z's).

Re: Just so you know.

Well I don't have the forking clutch problem anymore either...lol as for the manual/automatic brawl. I like my manual. If the proper guy is behind the wheel, he can beat any auto out there...lol well maybe except a powerglide.

Re: Just so you know.

mmmmm debateable, simple fact of the clutch problem, gotta spend time putting in the clutch, changing gears, then letting it out again. witha ratchet shifter, all i gotta do is slap the shifter forward. sorry man, you know i gotta give ya repect, but there aint to way to shift faster than a ratchet shifter. sorry

Not if you do it right. Remember, I'm an RPM junkie, and you can do that shit with high rpms.
