Thumbs down DRL's (Daytime Running Lamps) for 2004 Chevy Cavilier

I must say, putting these automatic lights are one of the dumpest things GM could ever implement.

How should I disable this feature without doing the ebrake.

Why would they put these on cars. They can't possibly believe they prevent crashes? I think they are stupid for many reasons, one being that I'm blinding people during the day through there mirrors, considering I am from everyone else with DRL's.

the only reason your car comes with DRL's is that some states require them by law. also some countries require them. Canada for example, your vehicle has to be equiped with some sort of DRL in order for you to register the car. cars have been coming with DRL's since the early 90's and they are not going to hault production of them .

You cut the dak blue wire on the module under the dash and ground the end on the module side. this will permanently disable the DRL's.
