Bought a new 2003 Camry 4cyl auto about 60 days ago. The day we test drove it we told the saleman it had a front end problem. We drove it for three days over a weekend and put over 200 miles on it. We came back to the dealer to buy one and the salesman said they could get the front end fixed as it was probably just out of alignment. My Wife took it back for an alignment a few days later, they said thay had fixed it. Driving home she said it felt worse. She took it back the same week and told them it was not right. The service men looked at her like she was crazy and they "Checked" It again. They said it was fine. Dec 12th 2003 my wife ended up in a ditch with my two kids. She was going 55-65 and went to pass another vehicle. As she was returning to the driving lane she lost control of the front end and spun around 2-3 times before hitting 2 road signs and going in a 10ft deep ditch. Conditions that day were good and no wet on roads or hazards on road. Did not have a tire blow out either. I am very upset as it could have been a very bad accident. Thank god they are all right just a little bruised. If anyone has experienced the same problems with a front end please let me know what you were told about it and what your dealer did about it. Dealers can not get away with saving a buck and risking the lives of families. Thank you

Re: 2003 Camry Front End Steering Problem
dude that sucks hella, I have had dealers do the same thing with my truck, I had an issue they like to just blow it off or charge you up the A## for "diagnosis" which doesnt even take care of the problem. I found its better to "Ask" a private mechanic to get their opinion then tell the dealer you were told it is a danger by a private mechanic. they cant ignore you then
