dinging staying on with door open and key takin out.

how do i fix this. ive tried a few things. currently i have the steering colomn taken apart, i think something may be sticking when the key is taken out.

Sometimes I've found that the key cylinder gets worn out. Try making sure that you twist the key back to the off position. I've had cars that I could take the key out with the car running..
