Water pump leak...

I own a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo, the water pump ahs started leaking...iwas wondering if anybody has changed theirs or not, if so how hard is it to change. Also there is a knocking sound coming form the back of the car on the passenger side. I think it is just the strut but not shure. It only makes the clunking noise when you go over bumps. The car has about 80000 miles on it.

Thanks,

-travis

Re: Water pump leak...

hey the water pump i a breeze did mine twice, just remove the belt take the pully off 4 bolts than u will see the water pump bolts remove them pull the water pump off clean the old gasget off... Put the new gasget on the new water pump line up the holes, bolt it all up.. As for the noise in the back might be the strut mount or little rubber bushings on the sway bar not the end ones but the ones in between the tires and the middle of the car.
